General Terms and Conditions

Scope:

1. Scope

Find My Boarding School (“FMBS”), operating under the umbrella of Find My Swiss School GmbH (“FSS”), provides independent consulting services for private and corporate clients as well as school authorities (“clients”). These General Terms and Conditions apply to all clients and third parties in relation to the services outlined below.

2. Services

FMBS offers expertise to clients on Swiss and international boarding school systems and options. FMBS also provides support and guidance through school transitions, either local or international. FMBS delivers bespoke advice for private clients based on their children’s specific needs and goals. FMBS maintains a comprehensive network of educational providers and specialists, including psychologists and learning support professionals, in both the public and private sectors.

2.1 Corporate clients

Corporate clients and relocation service providers may be advised through presentations, workshops, or consultations on schooling options and related topics. The audience for these services may include employees, clients, or other third parties involved.

2.2 Private clients

FMBS advises private clients (families, parents, children, and young adults) on their schooling needs. The range of services includes an assessment of the client’s situation, needs, and objectives, followed by individual proposals on how to best meet these goals, including suitable boarding school options.

3. Means of contact

Clients may contact FMBS by electronic means (email, website, messenger services, etc.), in writing, or verbally (e.g., by mobile phone).

4. Entering into a consulting agreement (conclusion of contract)

FMBS shall enter into a contractual agreement with clients either in writing or verbally, in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations.

5. Independent advice

FMBS is an independent advisory provider. It does not receive any form of commission, referral fee, or other compensation from schools or third parties for recommending or placing a student.

6. Remuneration

Remuneration for the services outlined above shall be paid according to the published pricing list or as individually agreed with corporate and private clients.

7. Information provided by the client

FMBS assumes that all information provided by the client is complete and accurate.

8. Value-added tax (VAT)

Services provided by FMBS are subject to VAT in accordance with Swiss value-added tax legislation.

9. Data protection, data security, and confidentiality

Data entrusted to FMBS are treated according to the principles of Swiss data protection legislation. Where data must be transferred abroad or to third parties for the provision of services as described above, the client consents to such transfer. The client authorizes FMBS to process data electronically. The client expressly accepts FMBS’s privacy policy as published on the FMBS website www.findmyboardingschool.com/termsandconditions

10. Liability

FMBS shall provide its services with due diligence. FMBS shall not be liable for any decisions taken by the client based on advice, proposed options, or presentations provided. FMBS and its executive bodies and employees are only liable for proven and directly caused damage if such damage was caused intentionally or through gross negligence.

11. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

All contractual agreements concluded between FMBS and the client shall be governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is the domicile of FMBS at the time the claim is filed.
